Launching on Pentecost Sunday, Beyond the Happy Clappy is the new podcast about the past, present and future of charismatic renewal. Featuring a series of interviews with leading figures from the renewal that changed the UK church so profoundly from the 1960s onwards, Beyond the Happy Clappy will ask what lessons that recent history has for the life and mission of the church today. We’ll celebrate what was good, and also reflect on the problems and failures along the way.

Introducing ReSource’s podcast…

Series 1 is released weekly on Sundays from 8th June. Do please share news about Beyond the Happy Clappy, and let us know your comments or questions via email to beyondthehappyclappy@resourcingrenewal.org

Sandy Millar – who saw Holy Trinity Brompton changed profoundly by the Holy Spirit, including the exponential growth of the Alpha Course

Mary Pytches – whose life was transformed by an encounter with God, which in turn impacted her husband David and ultimately led to the founding of New Wine

Graham Dow - Whose experience of renewal was combined with navigating the institutional church, including serving as a bishop from 1992 onwards.

Felicity Lawson – who developed a nurture course in response to local people coming to faith, which ‘went viral’ in the 1980s (before Alpha even existed…)

David and John Hughes - Identical twins, who both left careers in banking for ordained ministry after a defining whole night of prayer at their home church in Gillingham, Kent.
